Back in the 'Burgh

So, I'm here! I moved in Saturday morning, and have just been chillin since then. I love my room, I like having my own space... but I'm a little lonely. I remember enjoying my alone time last time I was here, but now it feels like I'm alone a lot. I think I'm trying to rush the whole meeting new people thing and I'm expecting to be friends with people right off the bat. I need to remember that it takes time, and that I'm not a hopeless nerd.

I'm also pretty homesick. I'm missing my mommy and daddy very much. I'm also missing le Leigh, and my kitties. I'm very excited to be back here, don't get me wrong. I like this better than working all the time, and being able to just relax and really work hard in my classes is awesome. I plan on going to every single one of my classes and trying really hard to make Dean's List this semester. My parents would be so proud of me, and to be honest, so would I!

Anyway, I'll post some pictures of my room at a later date if anyone is interested. I'm also a bit worried about Jurian! As far as I know, he's in New Orleans and so is Hurricane Katrina. If anyone knows anything about him, please let me know!

Long time!

People came to my house tonight. People like Dave, Twig, Ashley, Walker, Patty and Dwayne. Ashley threw a frisbee into my tree and it made some hornets mad, so my daddy sprayed them with foam and I think/hope they died. Things that buzz and sting scare me. Anyway, we played Taboo. It got a little out of control and we paused for fear of blood being shed. Then we played again and it was fun. I don't have much to update about, but I figured it was time. Um, I worked all day today, so that means MONEY next week, holla. I had a date on Friday night, so that's something new. Then we had bible study on Saturday which was good, I think. But I stayed up until 3:15ish with Shawn chatting, so I crashed for a couple hours and then I had to get up to help Annie go to camp. Then I crashed for a few more hours and made dinner. Spaghetti Carbonara that was so delicious, garlic bread, salad, and blueberry crumb cake and cyooks! I have to make cyooks next week for my Momma, so I may have some left over (cough cough Twig cough cough). Tomorrow I think I may spend some time with LA and go yarn shopping so I can bring stuff to knit at PBurgh. Then I have to work until 7. As for the rest of this week, I have no idea what's happening. Oh! Victor called me last night on his way home from IOSF and I got to talk to Dana and Amanda, which was awesome! And I got to talk to Victor for the first time in more than a week, it was very nice! I thought he forgot about me or something.

I can't believe that I leave for college on August 27th. That's very soon. Like, 2 and almost a half weeks. Holy shite! I'm nervous, but not. I can't wait to get there and make a million new friends and party (responsibly, of course!), and just learn. I did so well last time I was at Plattsburgh, so I'm really looking to apply myself and do well. I'm taking Statistics and Bio at the same time, which may be a little tough for me, considering that I have to spend a lot of time on math to understand it, and Bio is lab AND lecture, so there's hours right there. I just have to manage my time and not spend too much of it relaxing.

Anyway, sorry you read all this crap! Seriously, you could have read something educational!
